“It was a great tournament week,” is how organizer Marc Raffel summarized it at the award ceremony for the TVM Open by TeReMeer 2021 on the occasion of the atmospheric award ceremony. The new TVM Open champion Elmar Ejupovic (Wolfsburg) definitely made a big contribution to this, winning 7:6 and 6:2 in a high-class final against the Belgian top favorite Michael Geerts.

The 4th TVM Open by TeReMeer in Troisdorf from and this year we will be at the start again as a tournament partner! Who remembers last year's TVM Open? Due to the lockdown, the tournament was played as part of the Tannenhof German Men's Series and presented world-class tennis. In the final, shooting star Daniel Altmaier (GER) defeated German Davis Cup player Cedric Marcel Stebe (GER) in a high-class match 7:5 4:6 6:3.
Almost a year later, we as organizers were able to host the TVM Open by TeReMeer again as part of the ITF World Tennis Tour with the awarding of ATP world ranking points. “Unfortunately there will probably be no spectators, but we are giving, especially German tennis professionals, the opportunity to do their job and sponsors the opportunity to present themselves in a modern and digital way,” says organizer Marc Raffel. “And it’s not just tennis that any involvement is good for.”

Packing well-known traditional tournaments of the ITF senior tour into an attractive masters ranking - tournament directors Sabine Schmitz, Axel Seemann, Heinz Küppers-Anhamm and Torsten Jüchter have had this idea for some time. In 2021 the time has come: the thoughts and ideas became a concrete project: the NRW Masters Tour . Five Seniors ITF tournaments will take place under the flag of the newly created exclusive master ranking. In addition to ITF ranking points, attractive material and cash prizes await the participants. And the TennisTraveller is one of the two presenting partners!
The match ball was the most contested and high-class of the final of the Just Pools Kirschbaum International 2021 in Meerbusch TeReMeer, which was already taking place at the highest level. The French Australian Open Junior Finalist from 2020, Arthur Cazaux (18 years old), demanded everything from his conqueror Alexander Erler (AUT, 23 years old), both fell completely exhausted after the 6:2 4:6 7:5 for Alexander Player benches.
“It was a crazy match at ATP Tour level,” enthused organizer Marc Raffel afterwards.

Despite all the Corona chaos, tennis tournaments are also taking place in this country. From April 11th to 18th, 2021, the tennis men will be playing at the $25,000 ITF tournament Just Pools Kirschbaum International in the Teremeer in Meerbusch. Compared to the previous year, the traditional tournament has been significantly increased in terms of prize money and classification. Of course, this means that a top line-up will certainly be playing in Meerbusch, as there are significantly more ATP points up for grabs.
