The slackening begins immediately after stringing. Even a covering that lies unplayed in the corner is no longer “fresh” after months. Whether and to what extent you notice the loss of tension while playing depends on various factors: sensitivity of the player, material quality of the string, quality of stringing, time of use. Therefore, if you have several rackets, it always makes sense to label the rackets individually and note the stringing date.
Many players string their rackets at intervals so that a freshly strung racket is regularly available and the older one is used in training.

The stringing is always very sensitive at the eyelets, because at the moment of contact with the ball the string cannot move at the edge and may be bent at the eyelet. In the worst case, and depending on the force of the ball contact (e.g. during impact), this can also happen with fresh strings. Before stringing, a good stringer checks whether the eyelets are still intact, because depending on their condition, the eyelet can tear and thus lose its protective function. If the eyelet is defective, a Teflon tube can help or, if available, replacing the entire eyelet tape.
If the bat is still very new, you could send the bat to the supplier.

Now let's be honest: which of you knows a lot about tennis strings? While choosing the right tennis racket is often like a small doctoral thesis, the choice of string is usually not given any attention. Actually completely incomprehensible, because the right string can have a major influence on your playing, regardless of whether you are a competitive or hobby player. We believe that one reason for the widespread ignorance is the rather high level of complexity in the “string universe”. Or do the terms monofilament or multifilament mean something to you? We want to gradually bring a little bit of light into the “string darkness” world of strings
Hybrid strings are a good, suitable way to combine the properties of different strings on one racket. However, it is important not to lose sight of the desired goal and not to get bogged down in testing.
In my consultations I often have cases where a player combines above-average durability with a sensitive cross string and the overall setup only lasts a few hours. In this case, it would make sense to forego durability along the length and get more comfort, so that you can possibly choose a slightly more durable comfort string crosswise and the overall package provides sufficient comfort and lasts longer overall.
Testing hybrids is time-consuming and I recommend determining the main string first. It's best to test 2-3 possible candidates as a full covering, as this way you can feel the properties more clearly. Once you have decided on your favorite string, only test a suitable cross string if necessary.

Players are often given a string without any questions about their playing style. However, string advice is part of a good stringing service, because many criteria influence the choice of string: which racket do I play, how often do I play, how powerfully do I play, how old am I, what hitting technique do I have, how long are my balls currently to the baseline with my previous string, do I have any complaints etc etc.
All of these criteria influence the choice of different material types or the adjustment of diameter and covering weight.

As part of ATP Tennis at Rhein & Sieg in Troisdorf, organizer Marc Raffel and co-tournament director Marc Kevin Goellner are also planning a women's competition. The RW board with Uwe Mass, Volker de Cloedt and Claus Dreser is building on a medium to long-term orientation of the tournament. “It was a great event this year and we are looking forward to the next one,” said Uwe Maaß. The second Saturn Oil Open will take place from May 21st - 28th, 2023 . The Challenger tournament at Rhein & Sieg is expected to take place as a combined event . Not only the men but also the women will be playing in Troisdorf. This will make the Saturn Oil Open an even bigger tennis highlight in North Rhine-Westphalia.
We are already looking forward to being part of the game again as a tournament partner!

Today there's something from the "In Test" section . Because we don't just regularly win tennis rackets - we also test tennis rackets ourselves from time to time. And with great joy and as a former regional league player (hopefully) with sufficient expertise. I was particularly happy when I was able to test the DUNLOP FX500 , because I really liked this racket from the start. What I think is the perfect mix of power, control and comfort .
