Like few others, Raphael Schmidt embodies the two core areas of our TennisTraveller – tennis and travel. As a Lufthansa pilot, he travels throughout Europe week after week and has been an avid tennis player since childhood. Tennis fascinates and engages him not only as an active team player but also in many different ways. Whether as youth coordinator at his club or as co-organizer of the Mischa Zverev Club Tour , Raphael's goal is to bring tennis to people and inspire them. And he achieves this perfectly and very successfully with Mischa Zverev, with whom he has been close friends for years, through the Club Tour. In this interview, we naturally talk about this event tour at German tennis clubs, but also about much more. A conversation with a TennisTraveller par excellence!
Over the Pentecost weekend, our NK 4 travel scout Klaus and his family stayed at the Strandhotel Fischland on the Baltic Sea . He enjoyed three nights at the five-star hotel in the Dierhagen seaside resort: a beautiful holiday apartment, fantastic wellness and sports facilities, delicious food, wonderfully warm and attentive service, and of course, the stunning beach right outside the hotel. But that wasn't all: Klaus participated in the Baltic Sea Cup, the hotel's first NK 4 tournament, which he promptly won! As an added highlight, on the last day, Klaus's son had the opportunity to enjoy an exclusive training session with Nicolas Kiefer, the initiator of the NK 4 tournament series. What a unique tennis holiday experience for this tennis-loving family! Klaus sent us a fantastic report with many photos. Read on to find out what his days at the exclusive Strandhotel Fischland were like!

Teamwork is especially enjoyable in tennis, because together you can achieve so much more and with great pleasure. Not just on the court in doubles or with a team, but also professionally, when two partners who share a love for tennis come together. That's why I'm incredibly excited about the new partnership with the Mischa Zverev Club Tour. Throughout the year, Mischa Zverev visits tennis clubs as part of this tour, where fantastic events attracting 400-800 visitors are held. It's a great way to promote the clubs, club life, and above all, our sport of tennis. All of this is particularly important to Mischa, because he wants to bring tennis to the people . And that works especially well in clubs, where tennis is at its heart. Whether it's children's and youth training, a serve challenge, or an exhibition match, Mischa is right in the thick of things at every event. And TennisTraveller will be there at all eight events in 2025 from now on. Among other things, we have a fantastic travel prize to the exclusive Andreus Resorts in South Tyrol up our sleeve, which can be won at the events. Let the journey begin together – we're incredibly excited!
"Turn your grip a little to the left" – who hasn't heard this in children's and recreational tennis training when it comes to the backhand grip? Well, finding the "right" grip for different strokes isn't so easy, but it's absolutely essential. To put an end to all the "racket-twisting," we'd like to introduce you to a fantastic product today: the EASYGRIP® . We recently tested the training rackets from the Italian start-up of the same name at the tennis camp at the Pro Tennis School in Reutte. Training with the EASYGRIP® led to many "aha!" moments when serving or volleying. "Finally, I know what the right grip feels like!" – a great experience shared by several of our participants. The EASYGRIP® rackets are available for various age groups, from mini to pro. And padel and pickleball players can also easily and intuitively find the right grip with the EASYGRIP® rackets, specially designed for these trendy sports . Take a look at the different rackets – so that you, your kids, and teenagers will soon have everything under control!
