Today we have another item from our "Under Test" series . Because we not only regularly give away tennis rackets, but we also test them ourselves from time to time. And we do so with great enthusiasm, and as a former regional league player (hopefully) with sufficient expertise. I was especially thrilled when I got to test the DUNLOP FX500 , because this racket really "captivated" me from the start. In my opinion, it's the perfect blend of power, control, and comfort . Incidentally, our travel scout Marc was just as enthusiastic about this racket as I was! Find out more about my racket test and the DUNLOP FX 500 racket.

The Power Boost Nut, integrated into the eyelet system, increases the sweet spot by increasing string movement.
The new material from KURARAYPLASTICS CO. LTD offers high elasticity and vibration-damping properties thanks to a high-performance thermoplastic elastomer mixture in the shaft.
This highly elastic material dampens the impact and frame vibrations by up to 37% – for a more comfortable feel and a lower risk of injury.
Power Grid String Tech creates a 30 percent larger sweet spot for evenly distributed power. This allows today's generation of players to hit the ball higher on the racket.
I picked up the Dunlop FX 500, hit a few shots, and was immediately blown away by the racket. This impression only solidified during subsequent training sessions. My game is quite straightforward, with plenty of power from the baseline. Since I'm already in the "senior" category at 48, a racket needs to offer not only power but also (increasingly) comfort and a good degree of forgiveness.
Initially, I strung the racket with DUNLOP NT Max Plus thread (1.25mm) at 25kg. I'll increase the tension by about a kilo to gain even more control.
My conclusion:
The DUNLOP FX50 is, for me, a perfect and well-balanced racket, ideal for my powerful baseline game.
In my opinion, it is best suited for technically skilled players who like to play aggressively on the court but don't want to sacrifice control and comfort.
