Match point for the environment: CupStories in an interview

Match points aren't just for the tennis court. We can also fight point by point for the environment and sustainable products. CupStorys, a family business from Bergneustadt near Cologne that produces custom reusable cups, has already converted one of these match points. CupStorys and we are joining forces at the Mischa Zverev Club Tour 2026, visiting 22 German tennis clubs. CupStorys is supplying the drinking cups for the events, we're accompanying the tour as a travel partner, and we're giving away an amazing dream tennis vacation in the Maldives. But we're not just working together on the tour; we share a love and passion for tennis. CupStorys by producing unique cups for tennis clubs and events, and we by offering tennis players plenty of inspiration for their tennis vacations.  Why did you found CupStories and where do you stand today?

Frederic: CupStorys has been around since 2020. Our mission: We want to print reusable cups that tell a story. All our products are 100% made in Germany . We're now one of the largest suppliers in Europe. We supply everything from private birthday parties to huge festivals. Our minimum order quantity is just 25 cups. Perfect for parties or clubs , and certainly for your local tennis club too . Our team gives it their all for every customer.

 What makes you special?

Frederic: For us, the customer experience is paramount. We deliver top-quality reusable cups at the best price, and extremely quickly. The highlight: Everyone can design their own drinking cups using our 3D configurator on our website . Thanks to state-of-the-art printing processes like digital printing and IML, we can realize any design request. The customer feedback we receive and the stories shared with us are exceptional. A true win-win situation for our customers and us.

 Which "CupStory" do you remember most fondly?

Frederic: There are sooooo many wonderful stories from our customers! But the most emotional story is our journey through the Corona pandemic. We completely restructured during a difficult time and then launched a digital transformation. The whole team is incredibly proud of that.

 What are your plans for the future?

 If a club or hotel wants to order cups: How does that work and what does it cost?

Frederic: It can be done in three simple steps:

1. Visit the website and choose your cup size.
2. a design in the 3D online designer .
3. Order and relax.

With our 3D design tool, creating your own mugs is easier than ever. The mugs typically arrive at your desired delivery location within 5 to 7 business days – sometimes even faster. Prices start at around €2 per mug for a small order of 25. For larger orders, such as 5,000 mugs, the price drops to approximately €0.50 per mug. Do you play tennis or padel yourself?

Frederic: I love tennis! Padel is next on my bucket list.

 Where do you like to travel to most and what is your dream destination?

Frederic: Admittedly, I absolutely love vacationing in Germany – either up north by the sea or up south hiking. Of course, I also like to travel abroad sometimes, preferably to Spain or Italy. But the Maldives, the Seychelles, and Bora Bora are definitely still on my personal bucket list.
