Right at the very bottom of the "heel" of Italy, in Apulia, lies the ROBINSON APULIA, which opens TennisTraveller from May 13th to October 28th, 2023. 9 tennis courts, it offers plenty of training and playing opportunities. And as you would expect from a ROBINSON Club, you'll find a perfect range of sporting activities, relaxation options, great entertainment, and delicious food.
You can either fly to Brindisi (1.5-hour transfer) or to Bari (2.5-hour transfer) – the transfer to this club simply takes a bit longer, as you have to travel from the eastern to the western side of the heel of Italy. In sunny southern Italy, a 210,000 m² park-like club complex awaits you. Separated by a pine forest, the club is situated on the Ionian Sea and is ideal for tennis-loving families: the long, fine sandy beach slopes gently into the water, making it a perfect paddling pool for even the youngest children.
With 464 double and family rooms, the club isn't exactly small. But the club grounds as a whole are very large, so the nine two-story apartment blocks are well distributed and blend into the beautiful gardens. The rooms themselves are recently renovated, bright, and feature special eco-friendly flooring; each has either a small terrace or a balcony.
For families, the water park a dream: 1 large main pool, 3 heated children's pools with water slides and a heated baby pool - wonderful, every water lover, whether big or small, will find their fun here!
You can play on a total of 8 quartz clay courts – 4 of which are equipped with floodlights, so you can also play late into the evening. Court rental is included in the all-inclusive club membership, and you can borrow HEAD rackets free of charge. Guest tournaments, introductory offers, and a training program with a suitable course for everyone, whether individual or group training, are available. Individual training costs €45 per hour, and group training for four people costs €15 per person per hour. Special rates are available for children at the ROBY Tennis School.
Those who want to stick with racket sports can enjoy themselves on the two artificial turf padel courts with quartz sand and floodlights. At the club's own bike station, you can rent bikes and join a guided tour (for a fee). Or perhaps you're in the mood for a thrilling go-kart ride ? Then head to the go-kart track 3 km away. For those who prefer a more relaxed pace, stay at the club and try your hand at archery.
At the water sports station, catamaran sailors, windsurfers, divers, and stand-up paddleboarders equipment and, if desired, a course, though both usually incur a fee. The water sports area is classified as easy, making it ideal for beginners in all water sports. The WellFit® program offers something for every fitness enthusiast : a fitness studio (for ages 16 and up) with cardio and strength training equipment, a variety of classes such as Body Styling, Functional Training, Fascia Training, etc. Group classes are available for strength and endurance training, Aqua Fit, Indoor Cycling, Hot Iron, Slings Athletics, and more. Pilates, Yoga, and Stretch & Relax
are also offered. And there's something for everyone to do almost all day long: beach volleyball, basketball, soccer, and speedminton – to name just a few. In addition, there's the entertainment program – discreetly in the background – optional. A nightclub awaits all night owls and party animals – and a light midnight snack is available there to keep you going.
The expansive, fine sandy beach invites you to relax. Beach towels, sun loungers, and parasols are available free of charge both on the beach and at the pools. A relaxation pool exclusively for adults and a whirlpool will soothe your tired muscles. Even more relaxation awaits you in the spa, where you'll find a sauna, a sanarium, and a hammam. With a variety of massage and beauty treatments, you can indulge in a wellness break to your heart's content. Spa packages are also available for booking.
The club offers six restaurants and six bars . Let's start with the restaurants: the main restaurant with an outdoor terrace and wine bar, a beach and specialty restaurant "Trattoria," a specialty restaurant "KM O" in the pine forest, the adults-only specialty restaurant "Momenti," a pizzeria, and a children's restaurant. And the bars are spread throughout the entire club grounds, so you can enjoy a relaxed drink anywhere.
In general, ROBINSON clubs stand for all-inclusive catering - and at a high level . You can eat and drink here almost all day long - with a few special exceptions, drinks are included in the price. Since the club is a "feel-good" club, you will also be treated to special WellFood dishes and special drinks - all very healthy! And every 14 days there is the so-called "taste JAM" , where you are treated to burgers, beats and finger food - street food felling included.
The nearest town, Torre San Giovannis, is 4 km away. You should definitely visit the fishing villages of Gallipollo and Santa Maria di Leuca , which are just under half an hour away by car. A little further afield is the baroque city of Lecce (65 km), which is well worth a visit. Or how about the snow-white hilltop town of Ostuni ? Or a boat trip with a swimming stop in the Ionian Sea caves ? The club offers various organized excursions. If you prefer something more independent, you can simply reserve a rental car through the club.
The ROBINSON APULIA was tested and recommended by our TennisTraveller Jan: "Playing tennis, enjoying the magnificent beach with its pine grove and the Italian dolce vita - that's what an ideal tennis (family) holiday looks like to me!"
