Starting next week, we'll be reporting from afar, because the TennisTraveller is off to Vietnam for three weeks! We'll be taking you along on a very special journey from Hanoi in the north to Ho Chi Minh City in the south. Of course, our tennis rackets are packed, as we'll be checking out and testing some lovely hotels with tennis courts in Vietnam. And naturally, we'll be sharing our experiences. But that's not all: we'll also be reporting on our excursions, impressions, and adventures, because we want to give you a closer look at Vietnam with its diverse landscapes, cultural highlights, and breathtaking nature. Together with Saffron Travel , a Vietnamese travel agency, we've planned an exciting and varied tour that we're really looking forward to! Because we think road trips and long-distance travel can be wonderfully combined with tennis!
From Frankfurt, we fly with Vietnam Airlines to Hanoi, the capital of northern Vietnam. After various excursions, we embark on a signature cruise through the breathtaking karst islands of Bai Tu Long Bay. We then continue to Ninh Binh and Cuc Phuong National Park, visiting the primate and turtle sanctuary and exploring various karst caves. From Ninh Binh, we travel south by night train to Hue, the world-famous imperial city. From there, we continue over the Hai Van Pass to Hoi An, where we will take various cultural and culinary excursions.
Then we'll fly to Saigon or Ho Chi Minh City. From there, we'll drive to Cat Tien National Park in the hinterland. In Vietnam's most biodiverse nature reserve, we'll explore the jungle and its flora and fauna. From the jungle, we'll head to the beach at Mui Ne for some relaxation and, of course, a game of tennis. We'll then travel via Saigon to the Mekong Delta before flying back to Germany.
Most hotels have tennis courts, which we will of course introduce to you.
A TennisTraveller in Vietnam - we'll be reporting on this from January 20th, 2026 on our social media channels Instagram and Facebook - feel free to join us on our road trip!
