The UTR International Pro Tennis Tour is expanding in Germany and will host its first international tennis tournament on German soil from July 26 to August 1, 2021, at the facilities of the PMTR Tennis Academy and the KHTC Mülheim an der Ruhr. Forty top international players will compete in this inaugural UTR International Pro Tennis Tour (PTT) tournament in Germany.

This tournament series aims to give up-and-coming young tennis talents the opportunity to gain international tournament experience under very attractive financial conditions.
The UTR International Pro Tennis Tour is an international tournament series from Universal Tennis in the USA, which, starting in January 2021, plans to hold 450 tournaments worldwide over the next three years with a $20 million budget.
In Mülheim an der Ruhr, in cooperation with the PMTR Tennis Academy, the first tournament on German soil will take place as part of this European expansion.

The goal of the UTR PTT tournament series is to support aspiring international professional players in realizing their sporting dreams through professional tennis tournaments worldwide and attractive prize money. Each tournament and competition offers a total prize purse of $20,000. The tournament in Mülheim will feature a 20-player men’s and a 20-player women’s draw.
Half of the players participating in Mülheim are ranked between 633 and 1500 in the world. The field is international. Billy Harris (ATP 671) and Lexie Stevens (WTA 633) are the top seeds.
Eleven German players are also participating.
To give players as much international tournament match experience as possible, UTR PTT tournaments are generally played with international chair umpires in round-robin group stages from Monday to Friday; meaning four matches are played each day on two courts. The semifinals are played on Saturday and the finals on Sunday.
Tournaments start daily at 10:00 AM. Admission is free.

Half of the players are ranked between 600 and 1500 in the world tennis rankings. The field is international. Admission of participants is determined by UTR and is based on the UTR ranking.
Generally, the tournament is played with either 20 or 32 players. The basic idea and objective is to provide participants with extensive tournament match experience. A 20-player field with a total of 55 matches proceeds as follows: The field consists of 20 players (16 direct entrants and 4 wild cards). Play is in 4 groups of 5 players each (round-robin system). The round-robin group stages take place from Monday to Friday: 4 matches are played daily on each of 2 courts. Within these 5 days, each player has one day off. In the playoff round, the top players from each group compete against each other. The top players from each group then play in a semifinal (Saturday) and final (Sunday) to determine the overall winner.
