Why is Carinthia a wonderful holiday region for tennis-loving families?Tennis is a popular sport for all ages and has never gone out of style. It has a particularly long tradition in Pörtschach. According to a chronicle, the first official tennis tournament in Pörtschach took place in 1896. Furthermore, the Wörthersee region offers many great excursion opportunities and numerous events.
Which excursion destinations or activities in the vicinity of your hotel should active families not miss?Pyramidenkogel, Minimundus, Landskron Castle with Monkey Mountain and Eagle Flight Show, quiet Advent by the lake and the Wörthersee boat trip
Where did you particularly enjoy going to in Carinthia as a child and teenager?Skiing on the Gerlitzen, tennis camp at Lake Faak, and rural wine taverns where children could run around and play to their hearts' content. Then, as a teenager, it was off to the events around Lake Wörthersee and the lakeside beaches where everyone met up
What are you doing with your children today? Is there a special favorite place or activity in your family?I still often go skiing on the Gerlitzen with my own children, we paddleboard on the lake in the summer, and when the weather is bad, we go to the planetarium or the reptile zoo.
