Hiking, cycling, golfing, and of course, tennis are all available. You can enjoy an exciting match on our four on-site clay tennis courts, which are just a few minutes' walk from the hotel.

Why is Carinthia a wonderful holiday region for tennis-loving and active families?The holiday region offers a wide range of activities for sporty families, with something to benefit every member of the family. A match on one of our tennis courts followed by a relaxing massage (for adults or children) or a swim in the lake is the perfect combination for a successful holiday. Alternatively, you can grab one of our free bicycles and cycle together to the nearby tennis courts.
Which excursion destinations or activities in the vicinity of your hotel should active families not miss?In the immediate vicinity, you'll find attractions such as the Forest Adventure World (800 m, high ropes course and climbing park), and the tourist train (departing directly from the hotel) which takes families to the nearby wildlife park or the bird park near Lake Turner. The Obir Caves are a 20-minute drive away, as is the refreshing Wildenstein Waterfall (Europe's highest free-falling waterfall) and its Flying Fox zip line. Alternatively, you can enjoy a pleasant and relaxing stroll along the 5.2 km long, continuous lakeside promenade around the picturesque Lake Klopein. These are just a few suggestions from the wide range of activities available at our Sonnelino Hotel.
Where did you particularly enjoy going to in Carinthia as a child and teenager?As a child, I often visited Lake Klopein and the surrounding area, and even as a little girl, I strolled along the fairways of the 18-hole Klopeinersee-Südkärnten golf course.
As children, we were particularly creative and fascinated by colors and pictures. Therefore, we visited the renowned Werner Berg Museum in nearby Bleiburg several times.
What are you doing with your children today? Is there a special favorite place or activity in your family?If I already had children, I would spend a lot of time with them in nature, which is still very pristine here in Carinthia. The well-marked trails are particularly well-suited for family outings, and at the summit you'll find a wishing bell (Georgibergl) or a fantastic viewing platform (Kitzelberg).
A bike tour is always a hit, as is a tour through the stalactite caves, which aren't something you see very often.
