The ATP Challenger tournament, taking place from TennisTraveller 12th to 18th, 2019 in Büderich, has become one of the absolute tennis highlights in North Rhine-Westphalia and beyond in recent years. For example, the doubles careers of Roland Garros winners Andreas Mies and Kevin Krawitz began at this tournament in 2017 – they played together for the first time there. Fan favorite Dustin Brown, who won the doubles title at the tournament in 2015, has already confirmed his participation, much to the delight of tournament director Marc Raffel.
