What a joy – for 11-year-old Alina from the greater Stuttgart area, it's almost Christmas already! Alina's dad, Mirko, entered our competition and never expected to win the 4-day New Year's camp at the PMTR Tennis Academy in Mülheim an der Ruhr for his talented and tennis-loving daughter.
"I NEVER have any luck with competitions," said Dad Mirko on the phone when I had the pleasure of delivering the fantastic news. And since there's always a first time for everything, the joy was especially great for the "slightly tennis-mad" family when they heard that not only the PMTR tennis camp, but also four nights' accommodation were included in the price. Alina and Mirko are staying for free at the PMTR partner hotel, the B&B Hotel Mülheim – breakfast included.
And perhaps Alina's twin sister will also join them at tennis camp. The family still needs to discuss that. It would certainly be worthwhile. After all, there's plenty to discover in and around Mülheim besides the tennis court. And so the New Year's camp would make a wonderful family outing!
We wish Alina's family a wonderful planning period and are excited to see who ultimately goes to Mülheim and how the camp, including the overnight stay, went! Have fun!
Applications for the New Year's tennis camp came from all over Germany – we were especially pleased about that. We also loved the wonderful and unusual application texts, which so beautifully illustrate what a fantastic (family) sport tennis truly is!
