TennisTraveller 's tournament sponsorship journey continues after the IsarOpen 2018 in Munich last August: we are very much looking forward to being on site as a tournament partner 22nd Challenger Eckental, the International German Indoor Championships

Premiere as International German Indoor Championships

From October 27th to November 4th, 2018, the long-established event will take place for the 22nd time in the tranquil village of Eckental near Erlangen. This year, the tournament has been awarded the title "International German Indoor Championships ," a recognition from the German Tennis Federation that rightfully honors the work of tournament director Marcus Slany and his team. Over two decades of top-level tennis have featured many young talents, such as Maximilian Marterer, who have used the tournament as a perfect springboard to the top of the world rankings. Whether the defending champion from 2017 will also compete in Eckental this year remains to be seen.

Top-level tennis is guaranteed

Keep your eyes peeled and your gaze sharp – that's a must when visiting the 22nd Eckental Challenger. Because so far, the field of participants promises once again outstanding, top-level indoor tennis – fast and furious!

Four top 100 players are on the entry list: Guillermo Garcia-Lopez (ATP 77), Lukas Lacko (ATP 80), Hubert Hurkacz (ATP 93), and Ilya Ivashka (ATP 99). Other familiar faces include Marcos Baghdatis, Belgian Ruben Bemelmanns, and Latvian Ernest Gulbis. Yannick Maden, Matthias Bachinger, and Mats Moraing are already three Germans in the main draw, which is the strongest ever. Other German players, such as Daniel Brands, will try to successfully navigate the qualifying rounds.

Together with our partner tennis startups dropshot , LOVE:40 , and Wingfield.io, we're back at it again, working hard off the courts and proudly and enthusiastically presenting ourselves to the knowledgeable tennis fans of Eckental. Small but mighty – that's our motto!

Tournament director Marcus Slany will once again put together an interesting and varied supporting program , which will add the perfect finishing touch to your tournament visit. For example, on Friday, November 2nd at 8 pm, the exceptional Franconian cabaret artist Bernd Regenauer rock the stage.
