Hotel Spitzerberg is located 50 kilometers east of Vienna and 25 kilometers west of Bratislava in a beautiful, secluded location at the Spitzerberg Air Sports Center in Lower Austria . Lake Neusiedl is just 30 kilometers from the hotel, which lies outside the small village of Hundsheim. The hotel reopened in 2020 after extensive renovations. While it had primarily served as accommodation for flight students and pilots since 1929, its reopening transformed it into a stylish hotel and popular destination . The hotel's new concept, based on the b_smart_concept , includes features such as 24-hour self-check-in, optimized service, especially during and at the end of your stay, and much more. unique ambiance and charm, which quickly captivates guests, remain unchanged. The 33 newly renovated rooms are functionally and elegantly furnished. Guests can choose between single rooms and various double room categories. For families or smaller groups of up to four people, the nine spacious apartments available, each with a fully equipped kitchenette. Right next to the hotel are two quartz sand courts , which you can use free of charge almost year-round, weather permitting. You couldn't ask for a shorter walk from your hotel room to the court. We think that's simply wonderful.

The hotel is surrounded by nature, so you can head straight out for a jog or bike ride . A storage room is available for your own bikes. Besides beautiful cycling tours, the region also offers wonderful hiking opportunities . If you'd like to take to the skies, you can do so with a scenic flight in a motor plane or glider . If you prefer to stay on the ground and work out, you can do so in the bright and inviting fitness room . Here, cardio and strength training equipment await you, where you can work up a sweat while enjoying a view of the runway.
The hotel features a small Finnish sauna – just what you need after a tennis match or other active holiday activity. It will loosen your muscles for the next sporting highlight. You can also relax in the newly created natural swimming pond , where a dip is wonderfully refreshing. Comfortable loungers surround the pond, allowing you to unwind while enjoying the expansive views.
The hotel houses the Ikarus Restaurant . A restaurant right next to an airfield couldn't have a more fitting name, could it? The restaurant is open daily and offers hot meals for lunch and dinner. The chef's weekly changing menu features a variety of Austrian dishes as well as creative international cuisine. If you fancy a slice of cake with a coffee at coffee time, you'll find it here. When the weather is nice, the lovely restaurant terrace open, offering a spectacular view of the gliders and powered aircraft taking off and landing. And that's not all: the terrace is located right next to the tennis courts, so you won't miss a single rally and can order a well-deserved cold drink after your match.

Especially at sunrise and sunset, you can enjoy panoramic views of the Danube in the border region of Austria, Hungary, and Slovakia. The town of Hainburg, with its castle ruins, is also a lovely destination. The castle complex on the Schlossberg hill is worth seeing, but so too is Hainburg's 2.5-kilometer-long town wall, with its three remaining gates and 15 towers, dating back to the 13th century and forming one of the oldest and best-preserved town fortifications in Europe. For those who prefer a more lively atmosphere, a trip to nearby Vienna or Bratislava . And Lake Neusiedl, with its wonderful wineries and traditional wine taverns, is just a stone's throw from the hotel.
