 Tennis & Padel

Right next to the hotel, you'll find five outdoor tennis courts with artificial turf filled with sand . These courts are free of charge for guests staying five nights or more. During the winter season or in bad weather, the hotel works closely with the indoor tennis center in Höchenschwand , where three additional courts are available – so you can easily play even outside the summer season. A real bonus for all racket sports fans are the two padel courts in the sports arena located directly at the hotel . Padel combines elements of tennis and squash, is quick to learn, and is instantly fun – perfect for tennis players who want to try something new between matches.

The hotel boasts a 1,400m² sports arena with numerous machines for strength and endurance training – including the padel courts. In addition, the sports team offers daily changing activity programs such as aqua power, back fitness, yoga, circuit training, fitness boxing, and other classes. Outside the hotel, you can also enjoy a variety of sports year-round. In summer, hiking, golf, stand-up paddleboarding, and cycling are popular activities, while in winter, tobogganing, cross-country skiing, and downhill skiing are available in the region around Lake Schluchsee – many of these activities can be accessed directly from the hotel or are just a few minutes away.

The large indoor pool (28–29 °C) is directly connected to the outdoor pool. Numerous massage jets in the panoramic whirlpool ensure your muscles quickly relax after a tennis match. Alternatively, you can treat steakhouse "Am Kachelofen" (usually open Thursday to Saturday) or the Italian restaurant LUCIA Café Gugelhupf homemade cakes from its own patisserie, as well as light snacks. In the evening, the Karussellbar the perfect place for a drink or a relaxing nightcap.

Vicinity

You can take excursions from the hotel to your heart's content. Nature lovers will Lake Schluchsee or the Feldberg , the highest mountain in Baden-Württemberg. Various museums, such as the Black Forest Ski Museum in Hinterzarten or the Hüsli Local History Museum, offer a unique perspective on the Black Forest. And for city enthusiasts, the beautiful city of Freiburg just a short distance away. The Rothaus Brewery Experience, with its brewery tours, is also well worth a visit.
