The Stanglwirt is located in Going am Wilden Kaiser , an incredibly beautiful corner of Tyrol with a breathtaking mountain panorama. Abundant nature, tranquility, and a wealth of sports and leisure activities await you on 12 hectares in and around the Stanglwirt. Tennis players will certainly be familiar with the Stanglwirt, as tennis has held a prominent place at the hotel for many decades. And you can see for yourself this on the beautiful indoor and outdoor tennis courts, open all year round!
The Stanglwirt has an incredible history, from a simple inn to today's five-star luxury resort . Now in its 11th generation, the hotel is run by the Hauser family – the hospitality gene has been passed down more than successfully from generation to generation. And you can see and feel it throughout the hotel! As the name suggests, the highest priority is placed on sustainability and organic products . This is evident from the food, featuring regional organic produce (some even from the hotel's own farm), to the furnishings and architecture. Surrounded by meadows and the Wilder Kaiser mountain range, the Stanglwirt offers a private world where you can't help but feel at ease. Everything is conveniently located in one place, yet there are so many possibilities – perfect for couples seeking tranquility or families.
You can enjoy a restful sleep in lovingly furnished and very comfortable double rooms, family rooms, studios, and spacious suites for up to six people. The air is filled with the scent of Swiss pine, linen, and other natural materials! The rooms stand out wonderfully from the often-seen ultra-modern Alpine look and, thanks to the use of local products such as larch wood for the floors, Swiss pine for the furniture, and fabrics made of linen and cotton, are simply perfect for "lying in and feeling good." Everything is beautifully decorated in white and gold – the "Stanglwirt colors" – creating an elegant atmosphere.
Tennis is as much a part of the Stanglwirt experience as... strings on a racket. Yes, that sums it up perfectly! You can train year-round on the eight clay courts and five indoor courts . Outdoors, you'll enjoy a panoramic mountain view, offering maximum distraction. In the renovated, green-clad indoor courts, featuring joint-friendly Bross Line granules, two Slinger ball machines at your disposal. You can also play tennis under the guidance of the renowned and internationally active Peter Burwash International Tennis School (PBI) , which offers professional individual or group training for all ages and skill levels. In addition to special tennis packages, there are also "Tennis for Life" week-long courses with two hours of training daily. Or you can book a tennis clinic and work specifically on your groundstroke or doubles. Of course, there are also tennis courses for kids. Wilson tennis rackets are available to borrow free of charge.

In the mornings, you can start your day between 7 and 11 am with a delicious breakfast buffet that leaves nothing to be desired . A strong emphasis is placed on regional products: homemade jams and a wide variety of organic goods ensure there's something for everyone. During the day, you can enjoy a meal (for an additional charge) in the fireplace bistro or the "Stangl" inn, before the culinary highlight of the evening: a multi-course gourmet menu, sometimes themed, served in the hotel restaurant. Alternatively, you can dine in the inn, which has a more rustic atmosphere. The excellent and well-stocked wine cellar guarantees the perfect wine pairing.
The menu in the hotel restaurant costs €65 per person – absolutely justified, according to our TennisTraveller guests. However, if you're traveling as a family, dinner is an expense to factor into your budget. Here you pay 9 euros for your kids up to three years old, 18 euros up to six years old, 36 euros up to 12 years old, 48 euros up to 14 years old and 65 euros from 15 years old.
You can spend your perfect tennis holiday day in the cozy hotel bar , where you can make yourselves really comfortable in the large wing chairs.
