Travel scout Detlef reports on the mental tennis camp at Pentecost at the Pro Tennis School in Tyrol, Austria

In March, we were looking for a travel scout for the mental tennis camp at Pentecost, organized by Pro Tennis School in Reutte, Tyrol. Search – found: Detlef and his girlfriend Constanze were chosen as the travel scout for Austria, where they enjoyed a wonderful short tennis break. Detlef attended the mental tennis camp, and individual training was quickly arranged for Constanze.

"Hello Andreas & coaching team, dear TennisTravellerteam,

First of all, I would like to extend my sincere thanks, also on behalf of my girlfriend, Constanze, to you and your coaching team for the excellently run tennis camp at your tennis school at SV Reutte. And of course, thanks also to TennisTraveller, through whom we won this fantastic tennis trip.

My girlfriend and I arrived as strangers, but you, your team, and the participants warmly welcomed us on Friday evening, so we felt very comfortable from the start and left as friends.

Booking your tennis players at the Naturhotel Lechlife in Wängle was worth the trip to your camp in itself. It was a wonderful hotel in a fantastic location with excellent service and a great atmosphere. We would definitely book this hotel again and would love to experience it again sometime without COVID restrictions, under normal hotel conditions.

Your tennis camp was perfectly organized over those three days, from the theory to the practical application on the court. Herbert Schnaubelt's presentations on mental and character coaching, as well as his insights into competitive tennis, both theoretical and practical, were very interesting!

The tennis courts at SV Reutte were in excellent condition, despite the difficult weather this year. The indoor tennis center with its fitness center is the perfect complement, providing you and your tennis school and coaching team with a fantastic workplace. I want to emphasize the importance of this great facility, because not everyone can turn their hobby into their profession.

The biggest surprise for me was that you and your coaching team fully integrated my friend Constanze, who at 55 years old only started playing tennis 8 weeks ago; she had already completed 7 coaching sessions; and you included her in the camp. We both want to thank you again most sincerely, especially your friend Dagmar for the private lessons and her time. Thank you!!

I was thrilled to be able to actively participate in a tennis camp for the first time, which was incredibly beneficial for me and my further development in tennis. I only started playing tennis at the age of 41, and then as a typical football player without any coaching. It was an absolute highlight for me, as I had never participated in a camp before and had never played in a tournament. I only play in our tennis team's league matches. 

This tells me that you and your team cater to all the needs of the participants at your camps, regardless of their skill level. You all address the needs of each individual player, and everyone receives optimal, personalized support at camp – fantastic!

Everything came together perfectly this weekend: you, Andreas, with your entire coaching team, our mental and character coach Herbert, the camp participants, SV Reutte with its fantastic clubhouse, and the weather – because only with this combination can a successful tennis camp be achieved. The players' evening with its barbecue and party also contributed perfectly.
