Aldiana Club Ampflwang as part of a FAM trip . While I'm already familiar with many of our TennisTraveller underwent extensive renovations last year , including the addition of a new padel court and pickleball court , I was incredibly excited for my short stay. And I wasn't disappointed, as the club offers a wide range of activities for tennis players, racket sports enthusiasts, outdoor sports lovers, nature lovers, and wellness aficionados. You can find out exactly what you can expect at the club, both in terms of sports and, of course, culinary delights, in my personal travel report .
Come along with me to the Hausruck Forest!
For us TennisTraveller the Aldiana Club Ampflwang is simply perfect, offering fantastic conditions all year round: in summer, you can play on the two outdoor quartz sand courts. In winter, the three indoor courts with a Redcourt surface, located about 100 meters from the main building, are available. This clay-like surface was recently laid. You can actually slide really well on it. However, on my court, the area near the baseline was quite bare of sand and therefore rather dull. But with proper court maintenance, the sand lying around the edges was easily swept back to the lines. The surface is simply perfect for preparing for clay.
I also liked that there was a rack with loaner rackets and balls at the entrance to the hall - ideal for everyone who doesn't have their own equipment with them like me.
Since last season, there's been a breath of fresh air in the racket sports section: a new padel court and a pickleball court have been built outdoors next to the two tennis courts. Perfect for anyone who wants to try a racket sport in addition to tennis. Unfortunately, the weather was too cold for it on the first day, and on the second day there was even snow on all the outdoor courts. But the indoor tennis hall was perfectly adequate for me!

The Aldiana Club Ampflwang is much more than just a tennis hotel. The range of sports and activities is enormous: fitness and group fitness classes, e-mountain bike tours (from spring to autumn) through the Hausruck Forest, horseback riding at the state-of-the-art equestrian center, and numerous other sporting options. I particularly loved the club's location amidst lush greenery. Here you have complete peace and quiet and can set off on hikes or walks directly from the club. I highly recommend the climb to the Göbelberg observation tower. You can either take the short hike directly from the club or opt for a longer hike around Ampflwang, culminating in the highlight of reaching the top of the tower. The many steps are definitely worth it, as you'll be rewarded with a fantastic 360-degree view from up there!
After a hike, a tennis match, or simply to relax and warm up, I recommend a visit to the Welldiana Club Spa. The beautiful indoor pool and the not-too-large but nicely designed sauna area with two saunas and a steam room will quickly regenerate tired bones.

Eating and enjoying yourself all day long – that's theoretically possible at the club, as you're booked with the so-called "Full Board Plus" package. It starts in the morning with a breakfast that leaves nothing to be desired, even available until 11 a.m. for late risers. I personally especially enjoyed the Aldiana muesli, the fresh ginger shot, and the individually prepared egg dishes. At lunchtime, you can help yourself to the buffet, and in the afternoon there's a snack line with a small salad bar and delicious cakes. In the evening, regional and international specialties await you, mostly freshly prepared at live cooking stations. From dumplings with sauerkraut to vegan tacos – everything is delicious and prepared and served with care by the friendly staff! I particularly liked the cozy dining rooms – very comfortable, almost like a rustic ski lodge. Incidentally, non-alcoholic drinks, as well as beer and wine, are included with meals.
After dinner, or even during the day for a delicious coffee or drink, head to the newly renovated bar. It's a great place to relax, especially thanks to the always cheerful bar staff!

I stayed in a newly renovated double room. It wasn't huge, but everything was very stylish and comfortably furnished. The bed was fantastic, and I was equally impressed by the very spacious walk-in shower.
