Trainer workshop at Zischka Tennis Tours - successful and effective team building including further training

Before the tennis travel season really gets underway at Zischka's destinations in Croatia, Bernd Ochensberger , Managing Director of the tour operator Hannes Zischka Tennis internal workshop every year . For two days near Graz, the ever-growing team was prepared for the new season, new offerings were presented, and everyone had the opportunity to exchange ideas. Continuous professional development is particularly important to Bernd. New training methods for group sessions were demonstrated on the tennis court, and the coaches also tried their hand at padel, using shorter rackets. Presentations on topics such as conditioning and the psychological influences on tennis training rounded out the successful event. One thing is certain: there's never any stagnation at Zischka , and we think that's fantastic.  Bernd, what are your goals with the annual workshop for your coaches and camp leaders that takes place before the start of the season?

The aim of this workshop is twofold: firstly, to present and explain new developments in our program and services; and secondly, to bring the entire team together, integrate new coaches, and get to know each other.

 Your speakers come partly from within your own ranks. However, external speakers also regularly give presentations. Why do you rely on this mix?

We have colleagues who have thankfully been with us for a very long time, and I try to offer variety with new speakers. This way, every one of our trainers and camp leaders should find something in the program that is particularly interesting.

 What was your personal workshop highlight this year?

There were quite a few things: we spent much more time on the tennis court than in previous years. We also played padel actively. And Patrick Frottier's presentation (he's actually a forensic psychiatrist) was simply fantastic! He spoke about why people take tennis lessons. Very interesting!

 What new features can Zischka guests look forward to in 2025?

We are working very diligently to maintain our standards and to integrate some new colleagues.
