Incredible but true! This year, ATP Tennis on the Rhine & Ruhr in Meerbusch its 10th anniversary ! "Of course, we are very proud of what we have been able to build here," says organizer Marc Raffel. World-class players such as Alexander Zverev, Dustin Brown, Jan-Lennard Struff, the German Grand Slam champion doubles team of Krawietz/Mies, and many more have thrilled spectators and guests in the past. "Even during the difficult years of 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic, we were able to stay the course thanks to our many partners and preserve this special top-level sporting event," says Marc Raffel. Last year, the Spanish world-class player Bernabe Zapata Miralles, now among the top 50 in the ATP world rankings, triumphed in Germany.
We are also very much looking forward to the MARA Open for the B&B Hotels Tennis Trophy from August 6th to 13th, 2023 a proud tournament partner again this year and have another amazing travel prize to offer!
This year, ATP Tennis on the Rhine & Ruhr will once again be held at the TeReMeer in Meerbusch from August 6th to 13th, 2023. The facility offers optimal amenities and has proven itself to be the perfect host. Spacious stands and spectator seating, three excellent tournament courts, and ample space for catering, the organizing team, and exhibitors speak for themselves.
This year, unlike in previous years, the organizers are awarding significantly more prize money. Instead of US$55,000, US$75,000 is now up for grabs. "Meerbusch has made a great name for itself on the ATP calendar," says Marc Raffel (certified sports instructor, DTB A-level coach, and former Bundesliga player).
In times of inflation, the organizer is taking a special measure: ticket prices are being reduced by an average of approximately €5 per day ticket. "People have less money in their pockets right now, which is why we decided to take this step," said Raffel.
The supporting program now includes the WC Special Tournament for a place in the qualifying rounds on Saturday, August 5th; Kids' and Family Day on Tuesday, August 8th; the ATP Business Night on Thursday, August 10th; and the tournament party on Saturday, August 12th.
