This is how you support regeneration from within
Regeneration must be supported by two factors: "External regeneration," for example through fascia training, is just as important as "internal regeneration" through targeted nutrient supply. The reason is obvious: You have to replenish what the body has used up during athletic performance. Tennis players should pay attention to a balanced, nutrient-rich, and especially protein-rich diet to quickly compensate for deficiencies and repair muscle damage.
Do you need a recipe idea for your recovery after tennis?

You will need the following ingredients for 4 people
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 500 g peas
- 100 g whole wheat flour
- 1 egg (size M)
- Salt
- pepper
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 aubergine (approx. 300 g)
- 1 zucchini (approx. 250 g)
- 1 small red, 1 green and 1 small yellow bell pepper (approx. 150 g each)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Juice and zest of 1 organic lemon
- 5 stalks of chervil
- 1/2 bunch of chives
- 250 g low-fat quark
And this is how to prepare it successfully
- Peel the garlic and purée it with the peas. Mix in a bowl with flour, egg, 1 tsp salt and cumin. Let it rest for about 30 minutes.
- Clean and wash the eggplant, zucchini, and bell peppers. Slice the eggplant and zucchini lengthwise, and cut the bell peppers into strips.
- Form 8–10 equally sized patties from the pea mixture. Fry on a hot grill or in a grill pan for 3–4 minutes per side.
- Mix the oil, salt, and pepper into the vegetables and grill for about 5 minutes, turning occasionally. Just before serving, drizzle with half the lemon juice.
- Wash the chervil and chives, roughly chop the chervil and finely slice the chives. Set aside a little for garnish. Mix the remaining herbs with the quark, lemon zest, remaining lemon juice, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
- Arrange pea patties, grilled vegetables, and some herbed quark on plates or a platter. Garnish with the remaining herbs and serve with the remaining quark.
