When the Kirschbaum International tournament returns to the TeReMeer tennis center in Meerbusch for its 11th edition August 31st to September 7th, 2025 , tennis fans can look forward to top-class ATP tennis on the Rhine and Ruhr rivers. The ITF World Tour event primarily features young talents and up-and-coming players on the verge of joining the ATP Tour. Ambitious professionals from around the world will gather TeReMeer US$30,000 . "Our tournament has established itself as a fixture on the international calendar," says organizer Marc Raffel , who has been managing the event with an experienced team since 2013. "We expect another strong field and many familiar names in 2025." Many of the world's best young players in the ATP world rankings will also be competing.

In 2025, the organizers and team will receive support from a newly founded initiative group , which will bring fresh impetus to the tournament concept, sponsorship, club integration, and communication. Dr. Torben Düsing , spokesperson for the initiative group, stated: “Our goal is not only to further develop ATP Tennis in the Rhine-Ruhr region from a sporting perspective, but also to establish it as an event for the entire region – with a strong network of business, sports, and volunteers.”
The tournament will be played in a 32-player singles draw , preceded by a 48-player qualifying round on Sunday, August 31 (free admission), and a 16-player doubles draw . The winner will receive 30 ATP world ranking points – an attractive incentive for many players from the world's top 350.

In recent years, numerous top players have graced Meerbusch with their presence – including Alexander Zverev , Jan-Lennart Struff , Kevin Krawietz , Andreas Mies , Yannick Hanfmann , Daniel Altmaier , and international stars such as Francisco Cerundolo (ARG) and Botic van de Zandschulp (NED) .
