As in previous years, all tournaments were scheduled as high-ranking ITF Senior Tour events. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the first three tournaments were suspended by the ITF and are now being played as high-ranking DTB tournaments. The tournaments in Bielefeld and Dormagen currently still retain their ITF status. In any case, Germany's senior tennis elite are expected to participate – after all, they are all highly motivated to finally get back into competitive tennis after the long break.
