HEAD travel bag was featured in our 2018 travel bag test in cooperation with Tennis-Point . The travel bag was our test winner, so we were really eager to see how well Christian would manage with it on his tennis trips and what his overall impression would be. He immediately put the travel bag to a real test: a four-day training camp in Slovenia.
"The Head Team Travel bag absolutely lives up to its name. You could easily pack enough gear for a 2-3 person team for four days. Given the four days in Slovenia and the size of the bag, I was tempted to just pack without thinking. It started with 12 sets of tennis clothes (shirt and shorts), followed by just as many pairs of tennis socks, underwear for four days of training sessions, and then leisure clothes: four pairs of shorts, one pair of long pants, ten regular T-shirts, a jacket, a tracksuit, six pairs of shoes (one spare pair of tennis shoes, two pairs of casual shoes, one pair of running shoes plus sandals and flip-flops), as well as various water bottles, isotonic powder, and everything else you might need (passport, books, magazines, first-aid kit, etc.).".
After all that, there was still some space left, which I naturally filled up (if you can, you can ! ). I didn't even use half of it, but it was worth it. If you're going on a week-long tennis holiday, or if you also plan on going out for a nice dinner in the evening, then this thing is the "court safe" you need for a sports/leisure holiday. Half my wardrobe fits in there, literally. Even fully loaded, the wheels still roll smoothly and easily. They were absolutely no problem on the hotel carpet either. The handles are well-made and sturdy.
The only minor drawback is perhaps the carrying handle on top. When fully loaded (which is rare given the bag's size), it sits very close to the body, making it difficult to get between the handle and the bag, or requiring some effort to squeeze in. Therefore, in my opinion, it could have been a bit more generously sized. However, since you usually only carry the bag by the handle for loading and unloading the car or briefly up and down stairs, and otherwise use its wheels, this isn't a major issue. The zippers also appear to be robust.
Overall, I'm thrilled with the Head Team Travel. It's a space monster with a great look. It will definitely be used more often."
That sounds enthusiastic, doesn't it? And we can wholeheartedly agree with that assessment from a personal perspective – we've been using the Travelbag for two years now. A loyal, spacious companion!
