The Parkhotel Marlena Adults Only (14+ years) is located in Marling, above the spa town of Merano in South Tyrol. The hotel enjoys a magnificent panoramic location and is surrounded by a beautiful, park-like garden where you can discover a variety of rare trees and flowers. The romantic garden provides a lovely contrast to the modern , minimalist architecture, both in the main building and the new villa. The 50 modern, comfortable, and spacious hotel rooms and suites are located in both the main building and the villa. A modern, comfortable, and cozy mix awaits you in the decor. Right next to the hotel are two clay courts, which can be used free of charge (one hour per person per day) – surrounded by the hotel's green park and offering panoramic views of Merano and the surrounding mountains. Tennis lessons are offered by certified PTR tennis instructors – for all skill levels and ages. You can choose between individual lessons or group courses from Monday to Friday at varying intensities. If the weather is bad, there is a two-court indoor tennis center with artificial turf just a short distance away.
South Tyrol, and especially the Merano region, is a paradise for active TennisTraveller . Enjoy leisurely hikes on one of the many forest trails or climb in the mountains. Hotel owner Hans Inderst even offers special cultural hikes – a truly unique experience. Cyclists will find plenty to enjoy here, whether on a relaxed touring bike, a racing bike, or a mountain bike. Mountain bikes can be borrowed free of charge, and e-bikes are available for a fee directly at the hotel. Golfers can tee off on the 9-hole golf course in Lana or at one of the numerous other courses – with special discounts. Incidentally, hotel owner Hans Inderst was the driving force behind the construction of the Lana Golf Club and is considered a golf pioneer. The modern fitness room, along with the gymnastics and water aerobics classes and yoga sessions offered Monday through Saturday, complete the range of sports activities.
The 1000 m² wellness area with six different saunas invites you to relax. The sauna lounge, with two saunas offering panoramic views, is a dream. You can enjoy a more or less intense sweat in the herbal sauna, the bio sauna, the steam bath, or the infrared cabin. Cool off in the indoor pool or the beautiful outdoor pool . There are wonderful relaxation areas both indoors and outdoors, each with a magnificent mountain panorama. At Beauty Marlen , you can pamper yourself completely – whether with a massage, a beauty treatment, or a wellness treatment. The "spa menu" knows no bounds.
When it comes to culinary delights, the Marlena leaves nothing to be desired: start your tennis day with a fantastic and extensive breakfast buffet. For a light snack, you can choose from light, regional dishes from the à la carte menu (for a fee) at lunchtime, or treat yourself to a coffee in the afternoon. The culinary highlight awaits you in the evening with the gourmet half-board option: a 5-course gourmet menu with choices. Special highlights include the outdoor barbecue evenings, the wine tasting evenings, and the sophisticated alkaline fasting gourmet menus. In summer, you can even enjoy the magnificent panoramic terrace . Otherwise, you can dine in one of the restaurant rooms – either traditional or modern. The lounge and bar invite you to enjoy a drink or two.
Culture, shopping, and a whole host of activities await you in the Merano region. To be honest, we're not quite sure what to recommend in terms of excursions – the Merano region simply offers too many options! For shopping and strolling, you absolutely must visit Merano and Bolzano . You'll also find numerous castles and fortresses: Trauttmansdorff Castle near Merano and its gardens are a must-see. Schenna Castle or the Princely Castle in Merano are also worth a visit. Or perhaps you'd prefer to explore one of the Messmer Mountain Museums . The many forest trails around Merano are perfect for a leisurely stroll or a longer hike and are especially wonderful in spring when there's often still snow on the mountains. Wine lovers will be drawn to the many wineries near Lake Caldaro. There's so much to see and discover. The reception team will be happy to advise you.
